Since 2020, our policy with respect to food has changed where we now only allow food and beverages that are purchased from us to be consumed on-site.  While this may be disappointing to some, we have found that our business is better served by generating more revenue from fewer people by having consumables purchased on site. We continue to strive to improve our offerings from our restaurants and have increased the number of food items offered in our retail shop.  If you have any questions about our offering, please visit our website and the Vintner's Knoll which is our food service for the picnic grounds.

In the past we found our business accommodated visitors that would bring their own food and non-alcoholic beverages (sometimes alcoholic beverages) and picnic on our grounds using our resources, leaving their rubbish while not spending any money or very little money.  Some families would host family outings bringing in catered foods while hiding Buds, Millers, and Coors in their coolers which not only violated our liquor licenses but put our operations at risk.  While this was obviously unacceptable behavior to most of our customers, as always, it takes only a few people to force changes to our operations.

We are a business that needs to generate revenue and profit to sustain our beautiful farm.  To accomplish our mission, we now offer food from our restaurant each and every day and have expanded food offerings in our retail shop.  I hope that everyone will appreciate that we rely on our customers to prosper as we are different that a public park funded by government subsidies.   Thank you for your understanding and we look forward to your visit.
